Biography:

Anthony is an instructional designer who draws on his extensive experience in higher education and the public school system to develop accessible, meaningful courses. With a doctoral degree in foreign language, literary, and cultural studies, he designs courses that bring the human-centered nature of the humanities into digital learning contexts. Anthony’s work in cultural studies and DEI provides him with insight into how to develop learning experiences that address the needs of Penn State’s diverse student population. His previous experience as a Spanish professor permits him to foster positive, collaborative relationships with faculty stakeholders. Some of his research interests and expertise include second language acquisition, generative AI in education, assessment, digital pedagogies to improve foreign language proficiency, Universal Design for Learning, and cultural studies.
